Electron Supply Unit

Reltech manufactures and sells three models of electrical current supply devices. These devices are versions of Reltech’s medical devices with the negative potential therapy function removed; they are equipped with a function for transcutaneous delivery ofmicrocurrent to the human body (functioning solely as a reducing electron therapy device ).

The ion generator does not have a negative potential therapy function. Therefore, the ion generator is not classified as a medical device under the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Act.

The HD21 features the same main unit structure and components as Reltech’s medical devices for healthcare professionals ( reduction electron therapy deviceswith negative potential therapy functionality ) and is the top-of-the-line model in the electron supply device series, equipped with two output channels.

The differences between the HD21 and medical devices intended for healthcare professionals are: (1) The HD21 does not have a negative potential therapy function; (2) The HD21’s output voltage is approximately 90% of that ofmedical devices intended for healthcare professionals (compared to the top-of-the-line model, the “Reltech MD21”);③ Only the “S” setting is available for the AC output electrode, and ④ The maximum usage time per session is 60 minutes (compared to the MD21’s maximum treatment time of 99 minutes per session). These are the only four differences.

Based on the above, Reltech believes that the HD21’s transcutaneous electrical stimulation capabilities are virtually on par with those of the “Reltech MD21,” the top-of-the-line model in its line of medical devices for healthcare professionals. Reltech positions the HD21 as its top-of-the-line model specifically designed for transcutaneous electrical stimulation.

Efficient and Safe Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation Using High Voltage and Microcurrents

The HD21 uses high voltage and microcurrentto deliver electricity transdermally in an efficient and safe manner. This is based on the exact same principle as the electricity delivery system used in Reltech’s medical devices for healthcare professionals.

For this reason, Reltech believes that the HD21—which incorporates the same body structure and components as the “Reltech MD21,” the top-of-the-line model in its latest line of medical devices for healthcare professionals —is also capable of delivering efficient and safe transcutaneous electron delivery.

You can select either the output plate or the 0V plate depending on your needs.

The output electrode and 0V electrode are the most important accessories for an electron therapy device. The HD21 comes with an AC output electrode, which supplies electrons to the human body and applies a negative voltage, and BD/YD 0V electrodes, which form a path for electrons to flow through the body.

The 0V electrode plate BD uses a single plate to form an electron flow path, while the YD uses two plates. Reltech believes that the BD is easier to install than the YD, while the YD can form a wider variety of flow paths than the BD.

Based on our experience, Reltech recognizes that the distance between the location of the therapy unit and the location where the customer attaches and uses the electrode plates (the electrode cable must be at least this long) varies. For this reason, we have made it possible to choose between cable lengths of 2.5 m or 4.0 m.

The differences between HsD and medical devices intended for healthcare professionals are as follows: (1) HsD does not have a negative potential therapy function; (2) HsD’s output voltage is approximately 9 0 % of that of medical devicesintended for healthcare professionals (compared to the “MSD reltec,” a compact, lightweight model of such devices ); and (3) the maximum usage time per session is 60 minutes (compared to 120 minutes for the MSD reltec). These are the only three differences.

The HsD is a reduced-electron therapy device developed in response to feedback from our existing customers who requested a device that is easy to carry while traveling or on business trips. Its weight is approximately 63% of the HD21’s, and its volume is approximately 55% of the HD21’s.

While the HsD is designed for easy installation and user-friendliness—such as by reducing the number of electrodes (1 output electrode [ACs] and 1 0V electrode [BD], for a total of 2)—it maintains its core performance by sharing many components with medical devices intended for healthcare professionals.

Given its portability and ease of use, Reltech positions the HsD as its flagship model among reduction electron therapy devices. To make it accessible to as many people as possible, we have set the HsD’s suggested retail price significantly lower than that of other reduction electron therapy devices.

Built-in output monitoring function

Unlike the HD21 and HD11, the HsD has a built-in output monitoring function that notifies the user when the unit’s output falls below a certain level during operation. As a result, the output check devices that were included with the HD21 and HD11 are no longer necessary.

The built-in output monitoring mechanism also contributes to the HsD's ease of use.
